As previously noted, Leonard Williams—who later took on the alias Tyrone Cash—was a Cambridge University professor and a mentor to Bruce Banner in Marvel's *Ultimate Universe* (Earth-1610). Tyrone Cash’s transformation was triggered by his dissatisfaction with his physical body, which led him to experiment with a unique version of the Super-Soldier Serum. This variant, which he modified, produced a more aggressive Hulk-like mutation. Following his transformation, he left his previous life behind, faking his death and embracing a new identity as the Black Hulk. His departure from academia and subsequent descent into a life of crime were pivotal in his story, establishing him as both a formidable foe and a morally ambiguous character.
The Marvel Comics character Tyrone Cash, also known as the “Black Hulk,” made his first appearance in Ultimate Comics: Avengers #1 in 2010. Tyrone Cash is an alternate version of the Hulk in Marvel's Ultimate Universe (Earth-1610), created by writer Mark Millar and artist Leinil Francis Yu. Unlike Bruce Banner, Tyrone Cash is the alias of Leonard Williams, a former Cambridge scientist and mentor to Banner. Williams transformed himself through a self-modified version of the Super-Soldier Serum, achieving a powerful, Hulk-like physique and a ruthless, unhinged personality.
